Jeffrey A. Baker
CONCENTRATION
Jeffrey is a trial attorney with a general practice, including workers' compensation law. He is a member of the Davis Brown Law Firm's Employment and Labor Law Department and is also the chair of the firm's Workers' Compensation Department.
In the area of workers' compensation, Jeffrey represents self-insured and insured employers, third-party administrators and insurance companies in the defense and litigation of matters throughout the state of Iowa. His clients include small businesses through Fortune 500 companies.

Handles claims before the Iowa Workers' Compensation Commission through
the appellate courts, which include the Iowa District Courts, Court of
Appeals and the Supreme Court.
- Experienced in all aspects of the litigation process, including pre-litigation, discovery, hearings, trials and depositions, as well as case settlement.

Vast experience related to occupational hearing loss claims.

Handles complex medical issues, including neurologic, orthopedic, cardiovascular and pulmonary workers' compensation claims.

Interprets medical evidence and assists with addressing claims related to workers' compensation matters per American Medical Association guidelines, including impairment restrictions, physical restrictions and return to work issues.

Advises employers and insurance companies on industrial disability.
