Julie Johnson McLean
CONCENTRATION
Julie is a senior shareholder of the Davis Brown Law Firm in the
Business Division. She has a general practice in, but not limited to,
areas of banking, bankruptcy, business organizations and transactions and mergers and acquisitions.
Financing, Banking, Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights
Julie has experience representing creditors and debtors in financial
and bankruptcy transactions. She represents buyers and sellers in
purchase transactions.
International Transactions
Julie also has experience with international transactions, including international insolvency cases.

Julie is currently a board member of Bidwell Riverside Center, a non-profit organization serving children and families in poverty in the Greater Des Moines area. She is the past president of the Iowa Chapter of the Federal Bar
Association and served as the Iowa Chapter's National Delegate.
Julie is a
member of the Business Law Section and the Uniform Commercial Code
Committee of the Iowa State Bar Association. Julie is also a member of
the Commerce and Economic Development Committee of the Association of
Business and Industry and is a past member of the Polk County Republican
Central Committee.
In addition, Julie is a Greater Des Moines
Leadership Institute graduate, was the GDMLI Executive Committee
Corporate Secretary from 2006-2009 and served on the GDMLI Board of
Governors from 2004-2009. She is currently a member of the Board of
Trustees of Coe College.
PERSONAL
Julie loves all sports, especially golf and bicycling. She is also a fan of Hawkeye football and the Chicago Cubs.
