Sarah E. Crane
Sarah is an associate of the Davis Brown Law Firm. She joined the Litigation Division in March 2011 and maintains a general litigation practice, including business litigation, commercial litigation, litigation and appeals, antitrust law, insurance defense, employment law, and family law appeals. She currently serves as the associate representative to the board of directors for 2014.
Sarah has extensive appellate experience, as a former appellate clerk for the Iowa Supreme Court. She has written numerous briefs to the federal circuit courts of appeals, the Iowa Supreme Court, and the Iowa Courts of Appeal. She recently successfully argued a case to the Iowa Court of Appeals, Van Den Boom v. City of Eldora, 829 N.W.2d 589 (Iowa Ct. App. 2013), which held in her client’s favor and upheld a significant summary judgment dismissal in the District Court. Sarah handles appeals in all areas, including business litigation, complex civil litigation, and family law.
Sarah also maintains a significant practice in the areas of commercial and business litigation. She focuses on complex civil matters and enjoys breaking down complex business situations so that they can be understood and properly addressed by the legal system. Sarah has experience in both Iowa State Court and Federal Court, including the very first case to be assigned to Iowa’s newly constructed Business Court.
