ACADEMICS
In 2007, Sarah graduated from the University of Chicago Law School, where she was active in the Mandel Legal Aid Clinic, Employment Discrimination Project, and the Chicago Law Foundation. While in law school, she contributed to the publication "From Foster Care to Adulthood: The University of Chicago Law School Foster Care Project's Protocol for Reform".
Sarah graduated summa cum laude from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2004, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Spanish, with a minor in Music. In addition, Sarah was elected Phi Beta Kappa.
OF NOTE
Sarah practiced general litigation in Chicago at the law firm Jenner & Block LLP for approximately two years, before returning to her native Iowa. Sarah then served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Michael J. Streit of the Iowa Supreme Court.
PERSONAL
Sarah grew up in Mason City and is a graduate of Mason City High School. She lives in Des Moines with her husband, Steve Locher, and their four children.
