TAX CREDIT FINANCE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

 

            Davis Brown has extensive experience in the areas of tax credit finance and economic development in the state of Iowa.

 

            We have represented developers, tax credit investors, syndicators, lenders and community development entities in a number of federal and state tax credit transactions, involving:

 

Federal Tax Credits:

 

·         Low-Income Tax Credits;

·         Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credits;

·         New Market Tax Credits; and

·         Renewable Energy Tax Credits.

 

State Tax Credits:

 

·         Enterprise Zone Tax Credits;

·         Motion Picture/Film Production Tax Credits;

·         Wind Energy Production Tax Credits;

·         Historic Preservation and Cultural and Entertainment District Tax Credits; and

·         Venture Capital Tax Credits.

 

            We also remain active in the economic development community in Iowa.  Two of our practice group members currently serve on the Iowa State Bar Association Economic Development Committee - one of whom was the founder and current chair of the committee.
