Davis Brown shareholder Robert J. Douglas will become a jailbird in support of the Muscular Dystrophy Association's Lock Up on Thursday, March 6, 2014. The MDA Lock-Up is a community event that assists MDA in its mission of curing muscular dystrophy, ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) and related diseases by funding worldwide research, providing comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education. Participants are put in "jail" and asked to raise "bail money" in order to be released. All bail money raised helps local children and adults who live with muscle disease and also assists the Association in providing lifesaving research, a nationwide network of medical clinics and accessible summer camp experiences to individuals and families affected by neuromuscular diseases.
The event will take place on Thursday, March 6 at Outback Steakhouse, 10901 University Ave, Clive.
