The Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute has announced the recipients of the 2015 Distinguished Leadership Awards including an honor for Davis Brown Senior Shareholder and Immigration Department Chair, Lori Chesser.
At a ceremony on May 31st, Lori Chesser received the A. Arthur Davis Distinguished Community Leadership Award recognizing her commitment to the surrounding community and her leadership in making a difference. Lori was nominated by fellow attorney, Mike Kulik, in recognition of all the work she does to make Davis Brown, Des Moines, Iowa and beyond better places to live and work.
Lori’s dedication to immigration advocacy is clear through her tireless work in leadership, mentorship, and education. Lori offers a leading voice on the topic of immigration. She is frequently asked to speak to community leaders, politicians, non-profit groups, schools, churches and other civic organizations. Additionally, she maintains a very active immigration law practice helping individuals and families as well as businesses working with international talent.

About the A. Arthur Davis Award
A. Arthur Davis (1928-1997) established the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute in 1979 to train local leaders. Since then, over 1,500 participants have gone through this program which has produced some of Des Moines’ most respected Leaders. Mr. Davis is a named partner at Davis Brown Koehn Shors & Roberts P.C. He served as Mayor of Des Moines and President of what is now the Greater Des Moines Partnership. His dedication to community service is recognized in this award and its recipients.
