Matt Warner-Blankenship, Intellectual Property attorney, has been elected Vice-Chair of the newly formed Iowa chapter of the Licensing Executives Society. Matt was asked by a colleague at the University of Iowa to join the leadership team for the inaugural year of the organization and will serve a one-year term as Vice-Chair before becoming Chair in 2018.
The Iowa Chapter’s launch event was held April 24 at Kirkwood Community College. Sean Solberg, Chair of the Davis Brown Intellectual Property Department, and Julie Klaren, IP Manager at Rockwell Collins, gave presentations at the event in addition to the featured networking opportunity for members of the new organization.
Licensing Executives Society is an organization for intellectual property, technology, and business development professionals dedicated to facilitating global IP commerce through education, networking, standards development, and certification. The Iowa chapter was formed in February 2017 and includes IP professionals from leading businesses, law firms, and the University of Iowa and Iowa State University.
