
CONCENTRATION
Amber is an associate of the Davis Brown Law Firm. She joined the Litigation Division in August 2007 in the area of Litigation and Appeals.
ACADEMICS
In 2007, Amber received her J.D. from Drake University Law School with High Honors, and was also elected to Order of the Coif. At graduation, Amber was also awarded the Public Service Certificate.
While in law school, Amber was a member of the Drake Law Review, and served as Articles Editor from 2006-2007. Her student note, Plain Error? The Supreme Court’s Refusal to Resolve the Circuit Split in Booker Pipeline Appeals was published in 2006. She was also a member of Drake’s National Environmental Law Moot Court team and served as captain from 2006-2007. Amber assisted Judge Eisenhauer of the Iowa Court of Appeals with research for his article, From Nuremberg to Kosovo: Two Iowa Judges Step Outside Their Jurisdiction to Promote International Law. She also served as co-editor of the Drake Law Criminal Defense Clinic Annual Newsletter. In addition to her other activities, she served as Lieutenant Governor for the 8th Circuit American Bar Association Student Division and as an officer in Drake Law Women.
SUMMARY
She has successfully represented a large corporation at trial.
MEMBERSHIPS
Amber serves on the Domestic Abuse Committee of the Iowa Bar’s Young Lawyer Division. She is a member of the C. Edwin Moore American Inn of Court and the Junior League of Des Moines.
COMMUNITY
Amber currently volunteers for the Great Ape Trust and Mentor Iowa.
PERSONAL
Amber and her husband, Brandon, live in Clive. In her spare time, Amber enjoys reading, sports, the outdoors, live music, and spending time with her two dogs. She was raised in Milford, Iowa.
