Gene is a senior member of the Employment and Labor Law Department and served as President of the Firm's Board of Directors during 1996 and 1997.

Gene practices in the areas of labor and employment law and trial. In labor law, he concentrates on collective bargaining negotiations, unfair labor practice proceedings as well as wage and hour matters. Also an experienced trial lawyer, he defends employers in courts throughout the country in all types of matters. He regularly advises clients on matters involving employee hiring, discipline, and discharge.

Member of the Labor and Employment Law Sections of the American Bar Association and the Iowa Bar Association.
COMMUNITY
Board of The American Cancer Society for Polk County, and the Iowa Cubs Steering Committee and has donated services to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Iowa.

Gene has two daughters, Megan and Sara. His hobbies include golf and wine collecting.
