Joe joined the firm in February 2002. Prior to that Joe practiced for five years in Chicago, Illinois where he concentrated in employee benefits, ERISA and ESOPs. He has counseled clients regarding qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, and has assisted clients in designing and implementing ESOP arrangements.
Joe received his law degree from DePaul University College of Law, Order of the Coif, in 1996, and he is admitted to both the Illinois and Iowa bar. His B.S. and M.B.A. were received from West Virginia University. Joe holds memberships in the National and Iowa ESOP Associations, the National Center for Employee Ownership, the Iowa State and Illinois State Bar Associations, and the Polk County Bar Association. He is also a member of Iowa ABATE, a national and state motorcycle enthusiast organization.
