Stan is a senior shareholder of the Davis Brown Law Firm. He has a general practice in but not limited to Litigation and Appeals, Insurance Defense, Antitrust Law, Construction Law, and Government Relations.

REPRESENTATIVE ENGAGEMENTS
In 2007, Stan garnered a significant victory for MidWest One Bank & Trust which was sued by a Fortune 500 firm represented by a national law firm based in Chicago. The suit involved multi-million dollar claims based on trade secret misappropriation, aiding and abetting and conspiracy. The two-week jury trial in the U. S District Court for the Southern District of Iowa culminated in a complete defense verdict for Thompson's client who was found not liable on any ground. He has represented Ag Processing, Inc., ConAgra, Inc., Graham Construction Company, Iowa State University Alumni Association, and Mississippi Medical Plaza LLC.

COMMUNITY
Stan has served as chair of the board of directors for the Iowa State University Alumni Association. He is currently the vice-chair of the Small Business Advisory Council for the Iowa Department of Economic Development and a member on the Blue Ribbon Task Force for the Polk County Bar Association for courthouse improvement.
