CONCENTRATION
Tom is Of Counsel to the Davis Brown Law Firm in the Business Division. His practice encompasses Commercial Law focusing on advising financial institutions and companies providing lending and other forms in Iowa on compliance with Iowa Consumer, Real Estate, and Commercial Laws.

MEMBERSHIPS
Iowa State Bar Association Commercial Law Section regarding change to the Iowa Uniform Commercial Code and other consumer and commercial laws.
PUBLICATIONS, SPEECHES, SEMINARS
Tom has been a lecturer at the Drake University Law School in the areas of commercial paper and commercial law. He has also given speeches to the Iowa Bankers Association on commercial law, check handling, and consumer law compliance.

Tom has worked with the Iowa Bankers Association since 1974 and co-authorized forms and various publications for the Association.
COMMUNITY
Tom has been President of Iowa Homeless Youth Centers and Very Special Arts-Iowa and continues to serve on the board of directors of both organizations. He is also a member of the Red Cross Building Committee.
PERSONAL
Tom and his wife, Patricia Shoff, have two children.
