Davis Brown Culture
Invested in the Community
Whether it's participating in the annual Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa holiday greeting card contest, sending care packages from Des Moines to U.S. troops in Afghanistan, building a Habitat for Humanity home, or organizing a food drive, the Davis Brown family pulls together in support of the local community.
A. Arthur Davis (1928-1997), a name partner of the firm, was mayor of
Des Moines, President of the Des Moines School Board, President of what
is now the Greater Des Moines Partnership and helped establish the
Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute. Our lawyers continue this
commitment and are active in numerous organizations, programs and
charitable causes with the goal of giving back to the community and
making Iowa a better place to live.
Rewarding Work/Life Balance
Davis Brown has been recognized as the Best Law Firm in Des Moines by Des Moines Business Record readers and as one of Des Moines' Best Places to Work by employees and the Des Moines Business Record.
The firm was also named a "Top Workplace in Iowa" by the Des Moines Register in 2012. This is possible through our commitment to support a balanced life. The
firm has chosen to develop a workplace that not only fosters
professional success, but also supports individuals and families.
Attorneys and support staff are invited to participate in a number of
fun firm-sponsored events held throughout the year including holiday
gatherings, birthday celebrations and tailgate parties, as well as a
number of other social events.
