Brian has a general practice that includes, but is not limited to, corporate transactions, real estate, business litigation and creditors’ rights. Brian serves clients in the firm’s Ames Office, which opened in December 2011.

He is the current president and past vice president, secretary and treasurer of the Story County Bar Association and is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association, where he serves on the Military Affairs Committee and the Commercial and Bankruptcy Law Section Case Review Subcommittee. In addition, Brian serves on the boards of directors for the United Way of Story County, the Octagon Center for the Arts and Gilbert Youth Sports. He is also a 2008 graduate of Leadership Ames and a member of the Ames Noon Rotary Club.

The 2011 Immigrant Entrepreneurs Summit’s mission is to bring businesses of diverse backgrounds together to share, learn, and celebrate the immigrant entrepreneurship experience and contribution to the overall community.The Summit, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 12 at Drake University's Olmsted Center, will exhibit the success stories of immigrant entrepreneurs.

Over the years, Jodie has worked with builders/developers, subcontractors, residential sellers and buyers and others in the construction and real estate industry. She has assisted clients with litigation matters, warranty claims, mechanic liens and Chapter 573 (public project) claims, as well as purchase agreement matters, realtor questions, nuisance actions and other disputes involving municipalities, homeowner association issues and a variety of other matters.

WDMLA is an intensive, regionally-oriented leadership development program designed to give potential and emerging leaders the skills, knowledge, and ongoing support they need to succeed in the West Des Moines community. The program is designed for outstanding individuals who desire to sharpen their leadership skills and gain a greater understanding of the region’s economy and community networks.

Jeff joined the firm's Litigation Division in May 2007 and practices in the areas of insurance defense, personal injury, commercial litigation, real estate, labor and employment law, and construction law.

The goal of the program is to motivate participants to a higher level of community awareness and involvement and to ensure Central Iowa has a strong flow of leadership well into the future.

The Davis Brown Law Firm has had a strong commitment to the GDMLI since its inception. Arthur Davis was one of the founders of the organization, and Chris marks the 23rd member of the firm to participate in the program.

Prior to joining the Firm, Lynn practiced as a registered nurse in a wide array of health care settings—including hospital nursing (intensive care, medical surgical, orthopedics, and skilled nursing) and home health care (county-government and hospital-based). She also served as a consultant for the Iowa Department of Public Health and the Drake University Center for Health Issues.

At Davis Brown, Lynn’s practice encompasses health law with a primary emphasis on long-term care, nursing practice, and home health issues. She was recognized by The Best Lawyers in America 2011 for Health Care Law and is BV rated by Martindale-Hubbell, a widely respected mark of achievement that differentiates a lawyer from his or her competition.

Lynn has served as a national delegate to the American Nurses Association and has been an adjunct instructor at Des Moines Area Community College in Long Term Care Health Administration. Lynn is also a regular speaker and contributor to Iowa Health Care Association educational seminars and regularly provides an annual update on legislative issues impacting Nurses for the Iowa Nurses Association.
