Jason M. Ross
Jason is a shareholder of the Davis Brown Law Firm and former chair of the Firm's Business Division. He has a general practice in, but not limited to, commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions and distribution and franchise law. Prior to joining the firm, he practiced law in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at an Am Law 50 firm, where he had a similar practice.
Jason advises on a full spectrum of commercial and corporate matters affecting businesses. He frequently works with companies of all sizes doing cross-border transactions. His experience in corporate and commercial matters includes:

Jason also represents lenders and borrowers in connection with commercial real estate financing matters that include:

Jason is active in Lex Mundi, an international association of independent law firms, and works to develop relationships with legal professionals outside the United States to assist clients with cross-border transactions and international trade matters.
Jason’s clients include franchisors, manufacturers, and vendors of a diverse array of goods such as food items, agricultural products, scientific instruments, recreational vehicles and engine parts as well as services including senior care, software, and telecommunications.
He assists clients with general commercial matters such as supply agreements, sales representation agreements, licensing agreements, distribution agreements and terms and conditions of sale. Jason counsels franchisors and franchisees on registration, disclosure, termination, and other general business and legal needs. He also counsels clients on the termination of distribution and sales representation arrangements.
Jason has advised clients in acquisitions, financings, and joint ventures in a variety of industries, including senior care, telecommunications, software, medical equipment, bio-technology, and traditional manufacturing. He frequently advises borrowers and lenders inside and outside Iowa on commercial loan transactions and issues legal opinions in those matters.
