Olivia J. Slater
Olivia joined Davis Brown in 2018. She was previously a summer associate in 2017.
Olivia’s practice is focused on litigation. She currently has a general litigation practice where she assists with matters in the labor and employment, business, commercial litigation, and insurance defense departments.
During law school, Olivia served as Executive Editor of the Drake Law Review her final year and junior staff her second year. She authored “Does Every Dog Really Have Its Day?: A Closer Look at the Inequity of Iowa’s Breed-Specific Legislation” in the 2018 edition of the journal. During her final semester of law school, Olivia externed for Chief Justice Mark Cady on the Iowa Supreme Court.
Olivia studied abroad at Universitat d’Alacant, in Alicante, Spain during her undergraduate studies. After earning her B.A., she taught English to elementary students in Bailén, Spain for one year.
