Sarah E. Crane
Sarah is a shareholder in the litigation division of the Davis Brown Law Firm. Sarah maintains a complex commercial litigation practice, including complex business disputes, insurance defense, antitrust law, employment defense, construction litigation, and appellate work. Sarah has experience in both Iowa State Court and Federal Court, including the first case assigned to Iowa’s Business Court.
Sarah’s recent experience include a wide variety of litigated matters and high-value claims, including shareholder and partnership disputes, breach of contract, class action defense, insurance bad faith claims, fire litigation, and professional liability defense.
Sarah also has extensive appellate experience, as a former appellate clerk for the Iowa Supreme Court. She has written numerous briefs to the federal circuit courts of appeals, the Iowa Supreme Court, and the Iowa Courts of Appeal. Sarah’s recent appellate successes include Bonnie Cole v. Trinity Health Corporation in the Eighth Circuit and Van Den Boom v. City of Eldora and Atzen v. Covey et al. in the Iowa Court of Appeals, each of which upheld significant summary judgment dismissals in her clients’ favor.
