The Polk County Women Attorneys announced today that Davis Brown Senior Shareholder and Immigration Department Chair, Lori Chesser, has been awarded the Willie Stevenson Glanton Award. This award honors an attorney for service to the community, and Lori sets the bar high.
Lori is a dedicated immigration attorney fighting for her clients and contributes frequently to the national discussion on immigration. News outlets often turn to Lori for her knowledge on immigration law. She also speaks regularly on immigration issues to audiences at non-profit, religious, educational, and governmental organizations.
Lori’s influence is also felt directly by the individuals she works for. She was critical to the opening of the Des Moines Suboffice of the Immigration Service so that Iowa residents no longer need to travel to Omaha for their immigration applications. She also serves on numerous boards and committees bringing to the government’s attention issues in immigration that have been overlooked.
