The University of Iowa College of Law recently hosted the annual Iowa Real Property Law CLE seminar. This seminar brings together approximately 100 real estate attorneys from around the state for continuing legal education workshops. Multiple Davis Brown attorneys presented at the seminar.
David Erickson presented “Case Law and Legislative Update,” on recent changes in Iowa law. Jodie McDougal presented “Iowa Lien Law,” decoding the various statutory definitions under the lien law relevant to the necessary pre-lien notices in Chapter 572. Elizabeth Meyer and Sarah Franklin presented “Real Estate Litigation Basics and Family Real Estate Disputes,” an overview of real estate litigation remedies, and the intersection between real estate law and probate and trust litigation
Other presenters at the seminar included Iowa College of Law professors, representatives from state government, as well as other attorneys in private practice.
