Kelsey Crosse, attorney in the Employment and Labor Law department, presented to the Central Iowa Society of Human Resource Management on October 16 at the Farm Bureau Insurance offices in West Des Moines.
Kelsey’s presentation, “Religious & Ethnic Issues in the Workplace” covered discrimination in the areas of religion, race, and national origin. She discussed real-life cases of discrimination and harassment with the audience of approximately 25 human resources professionals working in varied industries and organization types.
Kelsey’s presentation was part of the Clair W. Fisher HR-Related Law Series. Attendees of the courses receive a Certificate in HR Related Law at the conclusion. Other sessions in the series included Disability Discrimination, Age Discrimination, Sex Discrimination, Responding to Internal and External Complaints, and FMLA.
