Breanna Young, estate-planning attorney, has accepted a joint invitation from the Deans of both Iowa law schools to join the Advisory Committee of the Institute on Guardianship and Conservatorship. The Institute is a joint effort of the University of Iowa College of Law and Drake University Law School and will be conducted through the National Health and Policy Resource Center. Both schools contributed to the Iowa Supreme Court’s Guardianship and Conservatorship Reform Task Force, of which Breanna was an active member.
The Institute will engage in educational activities to implement the Task Force’s recommendations. As Advisory Committee member, Breanna will help guide the Institute’s activities and will provide education and support to guardians, conservators, lawyers, and judges in order to ensure the State’s guardianship and conservatorship system is responsive to the needs of Iowa’s most vulnerable citizens.
Breanna recently co-authored an article for Drake Law Discourse summarizing the recommendations of the Task Force.
