Tara Hall, litigation attorney, recently presented at the Iowa Health Care Association’s Single Facility Conference. The conference brings together long-term care single facility owners and administrators from across the state. Tara’s presentation, “Collections – Lessons Learned,” was designed to share how they can ensure that their residents are paying their bills and resolve any collections issues that arise.
Non-payment issues are significant for the facilities that serve Iowa’s seniors. During the presentation, Tara addressed how to improve collections efforts by gathering significant financial information when residents are seeking to enter the facility. Tara also addressed how facility administrators and staff can handle family members who are not engaged and what options facilities have when working with a resident who is not competent.
Tara is a member of the firm’s health law department and has assisted care facilities with their collections issues for over 12 years. She streamlines the collections process and pursues a step by step approach to create an individualized plan for each matter.
