Real Estate Administrative Assistant - November 19, 2020

The Davis Brown Law Firm seeks for a full-time Real Estate Administrative Assistant to join our firm in January 2021. The position is based in our Ames office and will work closely with Real Estate Closers, as well as attorneys within the office.

 

Essential duties include

  • Assist the real estate closing department with all administrative aspects of coordinating closings including:

    • Prepare CDs

    • Print checks

    • Answer email and phone inquiries from agents, lenders, etc. regarding closings

    • Communicate with outside parties to gather information and ensure all documentation is received

  • Assist with the preparation of real estate finals

  • Maintain files and prepare files for closing once transaction is complete

  • Provide backup coverage at the front desk and for attorneys as needed

  • Other duties as assigned

     

Requirements include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1+ years of administrative experience with a strong preference for those with prior experience in a real estate-related field

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to identify level of urgency and prioritize tasks accordingly

  • A self-starter who can work well within a team as well as independently, with or without supervision

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally, providing exemplary customer service

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as the ability to learn required systems

  • Exceptional attendance and dependability
