Real Estate Coordinator - January 27, 2021

The Davis Brown Law Firm seeks a full-time Real Estate Coordinator. The position is based in our Des Moines office and will work closely with Real Estate Closers, as well as attorneys within the office.

Essential duties include

  • Assist the real estate closing department with all administrative aspects of real estate closing coordination including:

    • Receive closing orders and initiate file opening process

    • Confirm balances for each closing transaction and process check requests

    • CD/SD/ALTA preparation

    • E-filing on Iowa Land Records  

    • Answer email and phone inquiries from agents, lenders, etc. regarding closings

    • Communicate with outside parties to gather information and ensure all documentation is received

  • Assist with the preparation of real estate finals

  • Maintain files and prepare files for closing once transaction is complete

  • Facilitates Title Guaranty Commitment and certificate preparation, updates, and corrections

  • Other duties as assigned

     

    Requirements include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1+ years of administrative experience with a strong preference for those with prior experience in a real estate-related field

  • Proficiency using PROFORM or similar software systems

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to identify level of urgency and prioritize tasks accordingly

  • A self-starter who can work well within a team as well as independently, with or without supervision

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally, providing exemplary customer service

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as the ability to learn required systems

  • Exceptional attendance and dependability
