Three attorneys joined Davis Brown Law Firm as new associates. Shannon Holmberg, Katelynn McCollough, and Mitch Plimmer held positions as summer associates at the firm previously.
Shannon Holmberg graduated from Drake University Law School in May 2017. She will practice in the business division primarily focused on real estate and business law. Shannon is originally from Bettendorf, Iowa. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Iowa where she studied political science and history. Shannon worked in the Drake University Transactional Business/Non-Profit Legal Clinic where she worked with small businesses and organizations on matters including business formation, compliance, and non-profit status.
Katelynn McCollough graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law in May 2017. Katelynn’s practice will be in the litigation division. Katelynn is originally from Webster City, Iowa. She studied journalism at Iowa State University and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Iowa State Daily her final year at ISU. At Iowa Law, Katelynn was Senior Associate Editor of the Journal of Corporation Law, and planned the 2017 JCL symposium which focused on dark pools, obscure, legal, private trading exchanges.
Mitch Plimmer graduated from University of Iowa College of Law in May 2017. He will practice in the business division with an emphasis on securities work. Mitch is originally from Des Moines, Iowa. His focus during his undergraduate work at the University of Iowa was in economics and entrepreneurship. During his legal studies, Mitch participated in the Iowa Medical Innovation Group, an interdisciplinary project where Mitch collaborated with students from the colleges of business, engineering, and medicine to develop a below-the-knee adjustable prosthetic designed to alleviate discomfort. Mitch performed the legal work for the project including intellectual property work as well as drafting legal documents for the team.
