Ten Davis Brown Attorneys have been recognized by the Polk County Bar Association and the Iowa State Bar Association for their pro bono legal services over the last year.
Craig Sieverding was recognized for his work with Iowa Legal Aid; Sarah Crane, Maggie Hanson, Matt Laughlin, Courtney Strutt Todd, Chris Talcott and Deb Tharnish were recognized for their work in the Polk County Volunteer Lawyers Project. Margaret Van Houten was recognized for her service on the board of directions of the Polk County Volunteer Lawyers Project.
Additionally, Scott Brennan and Elizabeth Van Arkel were recognized for donating over 50 hours of volunteer time through the Polk County Volunteer Lawyers Project.
These attorneys donate time to assist low-income Iowans with matters as diverse as criminal defense, marital dissolution, and citizenship, among others.
