Sarah Crane was recently appointed to a district court judicial seat in District 5C (covering Polk County) by Governor Kim Reynolds. Sarah will fill the judicial seat formerly held by Judge Robert Blink.
Over the last 10 years, Sarah maintained a practice of complex commercial litigation and appellate work. She has proven herself to be an incredibly knowledgeable, hard-working advocate for her clients in and outside of the courtroom. Her insightful wisdom, enthusiastic leadership, and non-adversarial style are admired by many.
Sarah has made a positive and lasting impact on Davis Brown. She was the first attorney to argue a case in Iowa’s Business Court and initiated the firm’s Appellate Law department. Sarah also served in numerous roles, including serving on the Professional Responsibility Committee, a group of attorneys focused on ethical issues and responsibilities and the Professional Personnel Committee which oversees associate hiring, training, and development.
Prior to joining Davis Brown in 2011, Sarah practiced law at Jenner & Block LLP in Chicago before returning to Iowa to serve as a law clerk to the Honorable Michael Streit of the Iowa Supreme Court.
We appreciate the great service Sarah provided clients and her leadership at Davis Brown. We wish her the best on the bench.
