Steve Morain has announced his retirement from the practice of law effective December 31, 2018. Steve first joined the firm in 1972 when it was known as Thoma, Schoenthal, Davis, Hockenberg and Wine.
In 1977, Steve left private practice to become in-house counsel at Farm Bureau where he worked for the following 32 years overseeing mergers, IPOs, and the creation of venture capital and economic development programs. When Steve retired from Farm Bureau in 2009, he rejoined Davis Brown as an “Of Counsel” attorney to advise on insurance, business, and mergers and acquisitions matters.
As he looks forward to a relaxing future, spending more time traveling with his wife, Erna, and their family, Davis Brown thanks Steve for his service to the firm. He provided an insider’s perspective on many business matters, enabling us to better serve our clients. We wish him the best in his retirement.
