Rachel Toenjes Zander recently joined the Davis Brown Law Firm as a Special Counsel in the Business Division. Rachel is an experienced environmental law attorney who joins the firm after four years with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Chicago. Rachel advises clients in regulated industries in their compliance with state and federal environmental regulations and statues. Trained in environmental emergency response management, Rachel also helps municipalities and companies with emergency planning.
Additionally, Rachel’s practice includes work in real estate, advising clients on environmental issues associated with real estate transactions, on-going property ownership, and corporate transactions.
Rachel graduated with High Distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law and St. Catherine University where she studied environmental studies and biology. She was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.
Prior to working for the EPA, Rachel clerked for the Chief Justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court and the Iowa Second Judicial District.
