Two Davis Brown immigration attorneys, Lori Chesser, department chair, and Nikki Mordini, senior shareholder, presented at the 13th Annual Organization of Bar Investigators Conference on October 5.
In their presentation, “Immigration Red Flags,” Lori and Nikki shared information about the varied aspects of immigration cases, common forms of relief, eligibility requirements and hurdles, and what can become a trap for misconduct in these matters. They also explained the role of case law in the court and disciplinary systems. Their presentation was designed to offer additional information about the specifics of immigration law to the gathered group of investigators.
The 13th Annual OBI Conference was held in Des Moines, Iowa October 5-7. Attendees received education from professionals in a wide range of disciplines including immigration, mortgage and real estate and cyber affairs relating to fraud practices or the potential thereof. The Organization of Bar Investigators is a national organization of investigator professionals dedicated to fostering excellence in bar investigation techniques.
