If you are concerned about the rescission of DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals), now is the time to contact your senators and representatives. We would be happy to assist you with talking points or setting up a call or meeting through our Government Relations Department.
Varying legislation is being proposed. Negotiations are underway regarding whether a “clean” bill, one that does not have other immigration provisions besides making DACA permanent can be passed. If not, a DACA fix is at risk depending on what provisions are added, such as border security, mandatory E-Verify, or other immigration reforms.
We recommend urging support or co-sponsorship of the Dream Act of 2017, which is a clean bill and would address the issue without adding extraneous burdens to passage.
