On October 28, litigation attorney Kacy Flaherty-Tarpey moderated the Polk County Women Attorney’s first-ever virtual luncheon CLE, Reflections on Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg, a celebration of the life and legacy of the Supreme Court Justice.
The luncheon’s featured speakers, Judge Donna Paulsen and Roxanne Conlin, shared their personal experiences with Justice Ginsberg, who passed away in September 2020. Judge Paulsen also offered insights from her career on the bench.
Kacy, the PCWA luncheon coordinator, moderated the follow-up discussion with over 40 attendees on how new generations of attorneys can pick up the baton for Justice Ginsberg and continue the ongoing battle for gender equality.
“With Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s passing, we felt compelled to honor her legacy in this way,” Kacy said, “She inspired generations of attorneys and we hope that we can continue her work by being active in our communities.”
